After many attempts at recovery from drugs and alcohol, I finally took the extra step. After treatment, I went straight into sober living. Truth be told, I didn't have much of a choice. My addictions had lead me to burning every bridge with all my family and friends.
Being in an environment with like minded men was truly a blessing. The accountability and comradery of a house full of guys with the same goal of learning to live life on life's terms was truly a humbling experience.
It was clear to me that God put me right were I needed to be. And I knew as soon as I was able to provide a safe haven for men like me, I would.
